A WhatsApp conversation between a man and his pastor on the just concluded #ENDSARS memorial protest has sparked outrage on social media, particularly against the cleric.

Screenshots of the WhatsApp chats was shared on Instagram by Instablog9ja.

The pastor identified as Wisdom had argued that the protest was of no importance as no human government owed the citizenry anything.

Reacting to his pastor's argument, the man countered that no human also owed the church offerings.

The pastor slammed the protesters for failing to remember Jesus who died 2000 years ago

This didn't sit well with the pastor who told the man to keep his money stressing that no church will ask for it.

According to the man, the pastor continued his rant on his WhatsApp status stating that people who are doing the memorial have failed to accord same to Jesus who died 2000 years ago.

Social media users knock the pastor

#ENDSARS protest gets rowdy

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that police had fired teargas at protesters as the #ENDSARS protest got rowdy.

The protest, which commenced around 8:00am, on Wednesday, October 20, went rowdy around 11:00am.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu who arrived at the protest ground, told reporters that the organisers had stated that the protest would be a two-hour protest but miscreants and thugs have also joined the protesters.
