Dr. Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri, Chairman of the Summit's Organising Committee, said the breadth of institutional interest signals a shift in how Nigeria approaches the retirement transition of its senior workforce. He described the involvement of organisations across both sectors as evidence that the country is beginning to take retirement planning more seriously.
Summit Endorsements and Key Sessions
The event carries endorsements from several prominent bodies, including the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, the National Pension Commission, the Nigeria Labour Congress, and the Trade Union Congress. The Chairman of the Board of the National Pension Commission is listed as the Special Guest of Honour.
Sessions at the summit will cover pension policy and reform, workers' welfare, health and preventive wellness, financial management and investment safety, entrepreneurship, and digital skills for professionals nearing retirement. Delegates will also take part in structured networking and receive information on virtual training and job opportunities.

Confirmed partners include Galaxy Backbone, which will lead sessions on digital skills for retiring professionals; the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, focusing on inclusive policy advocacy; and the Nigeria Labour Congress on workers' welfare.
