Abuja: Grief as Dead Body of Female Accountant of Popular Union Found Inside Car

Kasham Thomas, the female accountant of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, was reportedly found dead inside her car in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Monday, September 8.

This came days after the remains of a suspected labourer were found inside another car around the national assembly building. The police are yet to ascertain the identity of the victim found at the national assembly. However, the police command in Abuja said it has begun an investigation.

Josephine Adeh, spokesperson of the federal capital territory (FCT) command, made this known on Monday, September 8. The deceased, who is suspected to be a labourer at a construction site within the complex. He was found in a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF at about 9 am on Sunday, September 7.

How Abuja accountant was reportedly killed

Daily Trust reported that the remains of the accountant had two stab wounds to the stomach and the chest and were discovered along the 35 Road.

According to a witness, the police in the Gwarimpa Division were alerted about the incident, adding that her family were then notified and her remains have been taken to the Kubwa General Hospital.

The deceased's relative told journalists that the union's accountant had been in the Karshi community earlier in the day to pick up her children in preparation for their resumption in school.

Relative speaks on Abuja accountant's death

According to the relative, she had left the community around 7 pm and "went to her home in Lugbe to drop off the children.”

The relative further disclosed that the deceased left the house after that and promised to return soon. It was then reported that the murder weapons at the scene were a knife and an Apple Watch, which were found inside her car with her body.

This incident was reported to have happened just one week after a Bolt Driver was found dead on the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway. He had a stab wound to his neck while his car was stolen. The incident was confirmed by a police source at the Gwarinpa division.

Police explain how road accident kill 12

Legit.ng earlier reported that Imo state experienced a severe motor accident where no less than 12 people died, while eight others were reportedly injured.

According to the police, the accident happened around 9 pm on Sunday, September 7 on the Owerri-Onitsha Road expressway.

The police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, made the incident known in a statement on Tuesday, September 9.
