Police official gives account of operation
He explained that officers attached to the Okene Division stormed Yuwander Lodge in Oguda village following credible intelligence that criminal suspects were using the facility as a hideout.
According to him, the raid was intelligence-led and focused on a room booked by a man identified as Christopher Kadiri, believed to be the prime suspect.
Kadiri escaped before the arrival of security operatives, but Williams was found inside the room alongside incriminating items.
Recovered exhibits included one locally made Beretta pistol, six rounds of live 9mm ammunition, N2,047,300 in cash, assorted hard drugs, an axe, and four mobile phones. Aya noted that the items strongly linked the suspects to criminal activity.
He added that the command has intensified efforts to track down Kadiri, while Williams remains in custody for interrogation.
“The case is still under investigation, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the principal suspect who is currently at large,” Aya said.

Police arrest two famous TikTok influencers
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Kano state police command had announced the arrest of two infamous thugs, Muhammad Ismail, alias "Linga," and Sani Abdussalam, alias "Guchi," for using social media platforms to instigate violence and glorify thuggery and criminal activities.
The suspects, known to operate from the Dala local government area, were apprehended following intelligence reports of their online activities.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the duo regularly posted videos on TikTok and Facebook brandishing swords and other dangerous weapons. Their content, police say, was designed to incite communal clashes and celebrate a culture of thuggery.
