A devastating accident occurred in Abuja on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of a man, his wife, and their two children after their vehicle collided with a bridge pillar at Mabushi.
Eyewitnesses reported that the family had been travelling in a private car when the driver made a brief stop at the Berger Roundabout in Wuse to pick up a relative.

During the stop, a confrontation reportedly broke out involving several individuals at the location. One person allegedly attempted to interfere with the vehicle, leading to a struggle.
According to accounts from the scene, the altercation caused the driver to lose control of the car. The vehicle then veered off course and rammed into a pillar at the Mabushi Bridge. The impact was fatal, killing all four occupants instantly.
Unconfirmed Mob Attack Following Fatal Abuja Accident
In the aftermath of the crash, unverified reports suggested that individuals believed to be connected to the confrontation were attacked by an angry mob. Many feared dead in fatal accident
Legit.ng earlier reported that a fatal accident has reportedly claimed the lives of many people at the Karu bridge along the Abuja-Keffi expressway. It was gathered that the accident involved a trailer and a vehicle conveying sachet water, commonly referred to as 'pure water'.
As reported by The Punch, emergency responders are reported to be at the scene of the accident. The exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed at the time of filing this report.
The accident comes barely 24 hours after a fatal crash claimed lives at the same location and has raised concerns over road safety along the busy corridor. According to Daily Trust, this year alone, the Nyanya-Keffi road has recorded multiple accidents leading to fatalities.
