The launch of Ticare, a healthtech app designed to improve emergency medical response in Nigeria, is set to take place on June 20th, 2025. Ticare allows users to quickly request verified ambulances with real-time tracking updates.
The app targets critical emergencies, including accidents, medical conditions, and childbirth complications.
Founder Worgu Kevin Kinikanwo noted that Ticare was created to address a pressing issue—delayed ambulance services—and to ensure that no one dies waiting for help.
Beta testing shows positive results
Before its official launch, Ticare underwent extensive beta testing in various Nigerian cities. The feedback from users was overwhelmingly positive.
Dr. Adaobi Enemuo, a Port Harcourt-based medical doctor, praised the app’s speed, while retired teacher Mama Tombari highlighted its ease of use, even for those not tech-savvy. Additionally, paramedic trainee Tony Akins emphasized how Ticare helped streamline emergency response efforts during critical situations.
Aiming for nationwide impact
Beyond individuals, Ticare is also open for hospitals and private ambulance owners to register, creating a more decentralised emergency response system.
The company plans to roll out health awareness programmes, live response simulations, and a live chat feature to enhance the service. Kevin Kinikanwo emphasized that the app is part of a larger ecosystem to improve Nigeria's healthcare infrastructure.
Ticare will be available on the Google Play Store starting June 20th, 2025, with an Apple App Store release scheduled for July 20th, 2025.
