A report by Daily Trust indicates that the media coverage of terrorism cases before the Federal High Court, including that of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is now strictly prohibited.
Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the court has released a new practice direction for the trial of terrorism cases before the court.

In another report by TVC News, the other cases before the court include bureau de change operators indicted over sponsorship of terrorism, and Boko Haram suspects.
Under the new arrangement, only the judges, essential court staff, and security agencies involved in the case will have access to the court premises.

Kanu files fresh N50bn suit against FG
Meanwhile, the embattled IPOB leader on Thursday, April 7, instituted a fresh N50billion suit against the Nigerian government, Vanguard added.
Kanu in the suit filed through his team of lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome alleged that he was forcefully abducted from Kenya and brought to Nigeria for trial, in violation of his fundamental human rights.
The court will determine if the way and manner in which Kanu was abducted in Kenya and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria is consistent with extant laws particularly the provisions of Article 12 (4) of the African charter on human and peoples rights (ratification and enforcement).
United States sanctions 6 Nigerians for supporting Boko Haram
The United States has sanctioned six Nigerian for their support of the terrorist group Boko Haram. This was disclosed in a statement by Department of States spokesperson Ned Price on Friday, March 25.
The listed the individuals are Abdurrahman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added the affected Nigerians to the List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons.
