MOBO Awards: Wizkid, Rema Get 2 Nominations, Other Nigerian Stars Dominate Nominees List, Don Jazzy Reacts

• The organisers of the Youtube MOBO awards have announced the nominees' list for this year's edition of the awards

The awards seasons are here once again and Nigerian artists are at the forefront of an international award nomination.

The Youtube MOBO awards announced the nominees' list for the 2021 edition and Nigerian music acts had an impressive number of representation.

The award slated to hold in the UK on December 5, 2021, has Naija stars like Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Tems, Ckay, Rema, and others nominated.

Wizkid and Rema got two nominations one in the Best International Act category and Best African Act category.

Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Ckay, Davido, Tems, and Tiwa Savage all also got a nod in the Best African act category.

Don Jazzy has reacted to the successes of the Nigerian acts in the Mobo awards 2021 list and his Mavin records stars, Rema and Ayra Starr's inclusion:

"Ayra Starr and Rema have been nominated for the 2021 MOBO Awards! Crazy. It's been under a year since we activated Ayra and less than three years for Rema. This is phenomenal.

"Congratulations to the industry too. Look at where we are! Now, even our young artistes are able to burst into the scene and gain an audience for their sound. It has taken a lot to get here."

Wizkid beats international stars to win big at MTV VMA

Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian music superstar, Wizkid won at the MTVWMA awards held in the United States.

Wizkid won in the cetegory of Best Cinematography alongside, Blue Ivy, SAINt JHN, they beat BBillie Eilish, Foo Fighters, Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper, Lady Gaga, and Lorde.

Nigerians congratulated him for the amazing feat.
