Double Tragedy: Young Nigerian Dancer Knocked Down by Vehicle, Dies While Mum’s Corpse Is at the Mortuary

It is indeed a sad and trying time for the family members of a young Nigerian dancer identified as Ifeanyin Kalu.

Celebrated dancer and stage actor, Segun Adefila recently took to Facebook with a post announcing the sad and unfortunate demise of Ifeanyin.

Adefila in his post explained that the young man aged 31 was the fourth child of his parents and also the breadwinner of his family.

How Ifeanyin met his death

According to Adefila, Ifeanyin was allegedly knocked down by a Nigerian Air Force vehicle along the popular Ikorodu road in Lagos; an incident that unfortunately claimed his life on October 20, 2021.

The poster went on to narrate how Ifeanyi had set out on that fateful day to resume at a school in Ilupeju where he had secured employment as a dance instructor.

In a different portion of his post, Adefila disclosed that the corpse of Ifeanyin’s mother who passed away in August 2021 is still in the mortuary as his own (Ifeanyi’s) body has now also been deposited at the Nigerian Air Force Base mortuary.

Justice for Ifeanyin

Adefila called for justice for the late Ifeanyin's family as he noted that they should be compensated.

He wrote:

"His bereaved family who are definitely inconsolable at the moment also stands the risk of not getting any form of tangible compensation from those whose vehicle knocked him down EXCEPT...Justice for Ifeanyin."

Actor James Michael Tyler succumbs to cancer

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that actor James Michael Tyler, known for playing Gunther on the sitcom Friends, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

According to sources who spoke to TMZ, James passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, October 4, at his Los Angeles, US home.

The renowned thespian was battling Stage 4 prostate cancer at the time of his passing at the age of 59. TMZ reports that his family confirmed the news, noting that the world knew him as Gunther (the 'seventh friend') from the sitcom.
