Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has found herself at the centre of a social media storm after fans called her out for what they perceived as a tone-deaf promotion.
Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, the beloved veteran actor, passed away on Sunday, 23 August, following a battle with cancer.
Shortly after his burial, Amusa published a post on her social media page promoting her new movie, and the timing did not go down well with her followers.

Actress Explains the Scheduled Post
Amusa came out to address the situation directly. She clarified, in a video she posted online, that the movie promotion had been queued and scheduled long before Ogogo's death, meaning she had no intention of timing it the way it appeared.
She also pointed out that prior to the promotional post going live, she had already shared her own personal tribute to the late actor on her page.
Beyond the explanation, the actress used the moment to call for greater understanding, urging Nigerians and her fans not to be too quick to pass judgement on others without knowing the full story behind a situation.
