In a video that has gone viral, the singer was seen pausing during mid-performance to splash a bottle of water on funseekers who vibed to his performance.
While some fans interpreted the gesture as a playful interaction or a way to cool down the crowd, others took a more sceptical view, accusing the singer of engaging in spiritual or ritualistic behaviour.
"This is spiritual... All these artists hide alot and most things they do on stage have spiritual implications," Wisdom TV wrote.
"That water na very dangerous, evil water," Albert wrote.
This isn't the artist's first time gaining public attention for his theatrical antics. Wizkid is known for his mysterious demeanour and larger-than-life performances, which frequently skirt the boundary between performance art and personal expression.
