Opeyemi Aiyeola sets the record straight

In a fresh update, fellow Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has stepped forward to clarify the matter.

Taking to Instagram, Opeyemi explained that the deceased was not Ibrahim’s biological son but his godson, whom he loved dearly like his own child.

The actress wrote:

“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. Oluwa shanu wa, bawa da wo iku odo duro. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. Lord, have mercy on us all and heal the world.”

Her message came after she had earlier sympathised with her colleague.

Meanwhile, a quick check on Ibrahim’s Instagram page shows that the actor has since edited his post to reflect the reality of the situation. He now acknowledges that it was his godson who passed away, not his biological son.
