Peter Obi’s Son: Seyi Law Weighs in as Attacks Over Viral Pics Intensify: “This is Madness”

  • Comedian Seyi Law reacted as photos of Peter Obi’s son, Oseloka, trended online with heated insinuations
  • The comic recalled how his own wife and daughter were dragged during the 2023 elections because of his political stance
  • He urged Nigerians to separate family from politics, warning against becoming what they condemn

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law, has reacted to the controversy surrounding viral photos of Oseloka Obi, son of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The images, which surfaced online in August 2025, showed Oseloka dining with a friend, Okwesa, in what many described as a “too-close” snapshot.

The photos immediately became the subject of heated debates, with some critics suggesting they could impact the political future of his father.

But while online jabs intensified, Seyi Law decided to address the issue in a way that struck a nerve.

In a post shared on his social media page, the comedian appealed for calm, stressing that Oseloka should not be judged based on his father’s political journey.

The comedian wrote:

“Now, family is off limits. I never insulted anyone first. It's okay, sha. Though it is painful, we should be careful not to become what we condemn. Please, let the young man be. He is not his father, neither is he the one that made him some people's choice."

His statement comes with a touch of irony, considering the comedian himself has been one of Peter Obi’s fiercest critics. However, he made it clear that dragging Oseloka into the political space is unfair.

The comic went further to share a screenshot of a message his wife once received from a self-proclaimed “Obidient” during the heat of the 2023 elections. The message carried threats directed at his family simply because he did not support their candidate.

According to him, that episode was both painful and unnecessary, a reason why he believes Nigerians must learn to draw boundaries between politics and family.
