Popular YouTube food reviewers Nina Santiago, also known as NinaUnrated, and Patrick Blackwood are trending globally after an SUV drove through the glass wall of Cuvee's Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas, while they were shooting a meal review.

They were in the middle of eating multiple dishes when the truck blasted through the restaurant window next to their booth, sending shards of glass flying directly at them.

In the viral video, Blackwood is seen reflexively pulling Santiago away just as the SUV crashed through, narrowly averting catastrophic damage.

The emotional scene instantly went viral on social media, eliciting empathy and fear from people all across the world.

Santiago posted pictures on Instagram of cuts on her face and arms, while Blackwood suffered facial and chest bruises. Despite their injuries, both said they were "beyond grateful" to be alive.

“It hit us directly—me on his left, him on my right—as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived,” Santiago wrote.

Reflecting on the terrifying encounter, she added, “Life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you. This could’ve been our last meal.”

Cuvee's Culinary Creations shared the event footage on Instagram, expressing relief that everyone was okay amidst the turmoil and damage.

Eonline reported that authorities have opened an inquiry into the crash, which police are calling a "freak accident." According to TMZ, the driver, who has yet to be identified, was not inebriated at the time of the incident and was not injured.

The SUV appears to have malfunctioned or lost control just before smashing into the restaurant.
