After Air Peace, Another Nigerian Airline Announces 15 Exciting Job Vacancies

United Nigeria Airlines is recruiting for various positions in its workforce as it looks to strengthen operations across Nigeria.

The airline said it is seeking motivated young professionals to join its team in both ground operations and flight services.

Available positions include Station Manager, Baggage Handler, Customer Service Executive, Experienced Flight Dispatcher, License Processing Officer, Crew Scheduling Officer, Senior Internal Auditor.

Others are Internal Auditor, Financial Accountant, Accounts Payable Accountant, Admin Manager, Admin Assistant, Admin Officer, Technical Store Officer, and Boeing 737-800 B1 & B2 Engineers.

United Airlines announces new job vacancies

In a statement, the company described itself as an equal opportunity employer.

It said:

"We offer exciting opportunities to highly motivated young professionals ready to work in the aviation industry. United Nigeria Airlines is an equal opportunities employer that provides the necessary platform for all to grow in their career."

The roles advertised cut across several Nigerian cities, including Akure, Abakiliki, Ilorin and Ekiti, while others are based in Lagos.

According to the job details, the Station Manager role will oversee daily operations to ensure safety, efficiency and on-time performance of flights, while the Baggage Handler position will focus on safe and timely luggage management.

The airline is also hiring Customer Service Executives to manage ticketing, check-in, boarding and passenger services.

Technical and operational positions, such as Flight Dispatchers, Crew Scheduling Officers, and Boeing 737-800 Engineers, are open for experienced professionals, with requirements ranging from NCAA licensing to several years of industry experience.

Requirements to apply

In most of the roles, United Nigeria Airlines said applicants should possess strong customer service, technical, and leadership skills, depending on the role and also educational qualifications.

For example, for a station manager, the requirements are

  • HND or B.Sc. in any discipline
  • A higher degree will be an added advantage.
  • Must be able to work late hours and multi-task.
  • A minimum of three to four (3-4) years’ experience in this role or related capacity.
  • Must be comfortable working under extreme pressure
  • Must be smart enough to take critical decisions within very short time limit.

There is also a role for high school diploma holders as Baggage Handlers.
