Body Of NNPC Worker Recovered Nine Days After

After nine days of a thorough search, the body of the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) Deputy Manager, whose vehicle plunged into River Jere in Jere town in Kargrko  Local Government  in Kaduna State, was yesterday recovered by local divers from Lokoja in Kogi State and some workers of Nigerian Inland Water Agency.

A statement by the Public Affairs Department of KRPC stated that the decomposed body of the late Alhaji Jibril  Suleman,  a  Deputy Finance  Manager with KRPC, was found glued to the driver seat of the Hilux vehicle in which  the manager and other  three passengers were travelling  in from Abuja  to Kaduna.

The vehicle had fallen into the river while trying to avoiding a head-on collision with a trailer coming from the opposite direction. Only the dead body of the vehicle’s driver was recovered at the scene. KRPC Public Affairs Manager Mallam Abdullahi Idris confirmed this development.
