He made this claim at a joint press briefing with the representatives of the Department of State Security Services (SSS) and the Nigeria Police Force at NOA Headquarters in Abuja on May 15, 2014, Thursday.

Responding to a question when exactly the world may expect them back, Omeri said Nigeria is currently working in close contact with concerned members of the global community, which will ensure the rescue of abducted female students “in good shape and the right frame of mind”.

NOA DG did not join issues with the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, and Senator Ahmed Zannah over accusations of the military of improper use of information provided to them.

Omeri further praised the people of Kala-Balge LGA of Borno State, who have successfully repelled Boko Haram assault, killed up to 200 of invaders, nabbed about 35 terrorists and seized lots vehicles, including armoured ones.

It would be added that during the same briefing, the arrest of retired Col. Agene Ogwuche, the father of suspected co-mastermind of Nyanya bomb blast, has been announced by the SSS.
