APC making arrangements for Kwankwaso and Fashola to run for 2015 Presidential election

Following the merger between Kawu Baraje led splinter group of the People's Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressve Congress, APC, strong indications emerged yesterday that arrangements were underway for Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State and Gov. Babatunde  Fashola of Lagos State to run for 2015 Presidential election.

It was gathered that APC wants to take advantage Fashola's good performance as Lagos state governor and that of Kwankwaso who is a northerner and from a state with a very large population.

Kwankwaso was one the governors who moved from PDP to APC yesterday.

Though both men are Muslims, the source said that it happened years back in 1993 when Moshood Abiola and Babagana Kingibe who were both Muslims ran for election and won, but it was annulled.

According to report, APC may also beg Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state to run for presidency in the 2015 presidential election because of his achievements in the state, his influence, popularity and acceptability by Nigerians.
