NASS Crisis: House Of Rep Member Fingers Dogara, Saraki

A member of the House of Representatives, Olajide Jimoh, has blamed the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, for the ongoing crisis in the National Assembly.

Jimoh, who represents Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency in the lower chamber, stated this when he held a meeting with leaders and members of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency.

The lawmaker described the disobedience of Saraki and Dogara on the sharing of principal offices in both the red and green chambers, by the APC, as act of impunity.

He said no member of the APC should disobey the party on any issue including the raging crisis as regards the principal officers in both chambers, Daily Independent reports.

He said: “As a member of the APC, you sent me to represent you and there’s need to feed you back on whatever is happening at the National Assembly.  The leadership crises in the National Assembly was caused by the sentiment of people like the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

“All of us in the National Assembly passed through the party to win elections, therefore I don’t see any reason for challenging the supremacy of the party’s leaders."
