Masquerades Attack Priest In Enugu

Three persons have been arrested by the Enugu state police command after they attacked one Reverend Christian Ajibo.

The three men dressed as masquerades were said to have beaten and stabbed the cleric with a dagger on the right side of his chest, Leadership reports.

The suspects gave their names as Uchenna Idoko, Ifechukwu Eke and Maxwell Idoko, all of Igogoro Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North local government area of the state

This was disclosed in a press release made available to reporters in Enugu by the command’s public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu.

According to Amaraizu, the suspects damaged the cleric’s car and stole his money, while dressed as masquerades but were later identified and apprehended.

He added that the suspects were helping the police in their investigations.
