NASS Allowance: Nigerians Criticise Ben Bruce

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, representing Bayelsa East has come under attack from Nigerians over his response to the proposed N8.64 billion wardrobe allowance which is set to be paid to National Assembly members.

It was reported yesterday, Tuesday, June 16, that Nigerian lawmakers will be receiving a total of N8.64 billion as wardrobe allowance next week.

Bruce in a series of tweets yesterday, said that he can only control his own actions. He also said he shares responsibility for decisions taken by the 8th Senate.

Before the senator was sworn in, he blasted the lawmakers for collecting rich allowances to represent poor people.
