PHOTOS: LASTMA Official Beaten Blue-Black In Ikorodu

It was a scene to behold earlier today in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, after some aggrieved workers beat up an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

According twitter user, @biggyli, who tweeted about the incident with photos, the LASTMA official trailed a driver that disobeyed traffic rules, but was trying to escape. The defaulting driver, who was driving a company vehicle was said to have quickly drove into the premises of his company in a bid to avoid the LASTMA official meeting up with him, and eventually fining him for disobeying traffic rules.

It was said that an argument ensued between the driver and the LASTMA official, a development that led to the latter being beaten blue-black. Sympathisers were seen trying to pull him up after he was beaten and pushed to the ground by some of the company's staff.

Not long ago, A policeman attached to the Ijaiye Ojokoro Police Station in Lagos State, was also beaten to a point of coma by a commercial bus driver named, Idowu Arisekola, his conductor and some touts.
