Buhari’s Arrival At Abuja Mosque Sparks Jubilation

The popularity garnered by the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, prior the election was pivotal in his March 28 presidential victory.

Buhari's popularity among sections of the population was evident when the president-elect arrived at Mambila Mosque in Abuja to attend his Jumaat prayers.

It is understood that when Buhari arrived at the venue there was a huge crowd waiting to receive him.

The president-elect, went quietly to the mosque, but was surprised to meet a huge crowd of adults and children, who were cheering the president-elect in animated excitement with chants of ‘Sai Baba’.

After acknowledging the presence of the crowd by giving his magnificent wave, Buhari went into the prayer room to pray, but not before a few handshakes.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the outgoing president, Goodluck Jonathan, and the incoming president, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to discuss the details of the handover scheduled for May 29.
