General Buhari's Outfits At The Presidential Rallies

As the election is to be held in several weeks Legit.ng offers you to have a look on how the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari was transforming into different ethnic attires, as he was travelling through the country with his campaigns.

The key candidates for the presidential post - the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the former head of state Gen. Buhari - have required persuading the people, using the fashion and style special to the different states and ethnic groups for advance.

At various campaign grounds, Buhari can be seen relating with the people fashion-wise.

General Buhari has worn Niger-Delta attire, traditional ofong mbong and usobo (wrapper) attires of the Effik and Ibibio people of the Akwa-Ibom and Cross River states.

While campaigning in Igboland, the General from Daura, Katsina, appeared well at home, clad in Igbo traditional outfit with the cap to match.

And in Warri, he was decked in the traditional outfit of the Itsekiris of shirt over a George wrapper.

When he visited Tiv Land, he was also decked in the traditional hand-woven striped black and white clothing synonymous with that ethnic group.

It should be noted that General Buhari with its campaign has already visited 16 states across the country.

Gombe, Adamawa, Lagos, Oyo, Edo, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau, Niger, Benue, Anambra, Rivers and at last Borno prepared grand welcome for the APC candidate.
