Lagos Police Impound Commercial Motorcycles
Lagos State Police Command yesterday conducted a massive raid on commercial motorcycles operating within the state.
According to Leadership the policemen are reinforcing the Lagos State laws on motorcycles, restricting them to certain routes raided several motorcycles.

Leadership visited some of the police area commands, some of the commercial motorcycle operators were seen with unhappy faces at Area ‘A’ Lion Building, Area ‘B’ Apapa, Area ‘C’ Surulere, Area ‘D’ Mushin and Area ‘E’ Festac Police Commands, respectively.
A police corporal at the Apapa police station said that the divisional police officer of the station, CSP Ishola Olanrewaju, gave the order for them to impound all motorcycles operating within the division. Many of the motorcycles were seen parked at the station.
The policemen that impounded motorcycles have vowed to take all to Alausa, Ikeja.
A police source at Festac station said that the commissioner of police , Lagos State police command, Mr Cornelius Aderanti has issued an order that the raiding of motorcycles that take the restricted routes should continue.

It would be recalled that the state Commissioner of Police, Cornelius Aderanti, on Monday January 5 warned the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) to desist from removal of campaign posters and billboards of political parties.
