Jennifer Olufade, the widow of Flt Lt Alfred Olufade, pilot of the aircraft that crashed killing 11 military officers in Kaduna said her husband dreamt about the plane crash a day before.

Recall that Flt LT Olufade died alongside the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ibrahim Attahiru, and nine other officers on Friday, May 21.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram page, @joba_star, on Sunday, May 23, Jennifer, who got married to the late pilot three months ago, paid an emotional tribute to her husband.

She revealed that her husband woke her up around 4 am on Thursday, May 20, and narrated the bad dream to her.

Mrs. Olufade went on to note that she prayed with her husband who made successful trips to Enugu and Owerri and returned to Abuja after the dream.

Jennifer said when the late pilot informed her about the trip to Kaduna she tried to stop him but was not able to get through to him.

Excerpts from her post read:

“On 20th of May, at about 4 am, you woke me up with fear and said ‘baby, baby, I had a bad dream. I dreamt that I crashed on my way to Kaduna.’ You said it looked very real. I prayed for you seriously that morning and asked you not to worry and asked you your mission order and who you were flying with and you told me Flt. Lt Asaniyi.

“The next message I received was that you were going to Kaduna. My heart shattered, I smelt danger, I started calling you, you didn’t pick. Why didn’t you pick? Why? I wanted begging you not to go."

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of the Nigerian vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, visited the widow of a military officer who lost his life in the plane crash.

In an emotional video that was posted on Twitter by Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant on media and publicity to the vice president, Dolapo could be seen consoling Olufade's widow as the atmosphere was filled with mourning.

Similarly, a Nigerian lady, Bunmi Oladuntoye, penned a very emotional note about her fiancé, Olufemi Taiwo Asaniyi, who was among those who lost their lives in the plane crash on Friday, May 21.

Taking to Twitter, Bunmi relived the moment Femi asked for her hands in marriage in 2020 and how she joyfully said yes to his proposal.
