While many slammed the manner the teacher handled the situation as they opined that it aids cheating, others argued differently.
"Why did they cheat? This idea of individualism in the classroom is not good for society. I bet no one would need to ‘cheat’ if there was a collective approach to learning."
"Some things need to be done alone and some things need to be done together. Cheating issues arise when grades become more important than learning."
"For those saying that this is life-changing for the student: is it? Or is it just until they plagiarize again? Are there to be no consequences for stealing someone’s work when you could have done your own?"
"Punishment won't teach the student how to do the assignment on their own. It will only teach them to cheat more craftily."
