Nigerian football legend Obafemi Martins has finally broken silence over the issues between him and hip-hop artist Burna Boy.

The former Inter Milan striker confirmed there was a misunderstanding with the singer but insisted that they have settled it and moved on - asking every other person to do so.

He added that it is impossible for brothers not to fight, however, the love among them will help to resolve whatever differences they may have and forge ahead.

The former Premier League superstar also took time to explain the issue on his official Instagram page, saying:

"I have been seeing a lot of allegations online and I don't appreciate our names being disgraced like this. We had some misunderstanding a few nights ago but this issue don already resolved already sha.
"There be no fight at Bay-Rock, the club was not even opened for clubbing, I just called my boys, I just called my boys to talk about the issue there. I be di shareholder there na, don't destroy my business ooo.
"There is always fight and love amongst brothers. You guys are making too much hype, you should forget it and carry on."

The beef was already going beyond the individuals as the fans were already taking over the battle on the pages of social media with each person standing in solidarity for their celebrities.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Obafemi Martin's comparison with Nigerian hip-hop artist Burna Boy is not ready to go away anytime soon as the fans appear to be taking over the battle.

The 29-year-old singer was said to have disrespected the former Super Eagles striker when they met at a popular club in Lagos.

This fracas has now degenerated into the wealth of both celebrities being valued on the pages of social media in a bid to determine who is superior.
