- Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Silva scored the three goals for Manchester City
Manchester City on Wednesday night, February 17, continued with their impressive performance this season in the Premier League beating Everton 3-1 at their backyard.
Although this encounter was a tough one for Manchester City, but the Citizens tried their best to make sure that they got the maximum three points.
The Citizens started the match impressively in which Raheem Sterling would have given the EPL leaders the lead in the third minute after receiving a pass from Rodri, but he was unable to score.
Phil Foden eventually scored the first goal for Manchester City in the 32nd minute, but their lead only lasted for five minutes before Richarlison restored parity for the hosts.
Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi fired a brilliant shot before the half time with the hope of giving his side the lead, but goalkeeper Moraes saved it.
Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva scored a goal each in the second half for Manchester City to record an emphatic win over Everton in this Premier League tie.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Sergio Aguero was spotted in Manchester City dressing room keeping the jersey of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in his bag in which the Argentine revealed that his son Benjamin begged for it.
Benjamin who is 11-year-old is the grandson of late Argentine football great Diego Maradona and he is so blessed that his father is a close friend of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.
But instead of picking one player from Manchester City where his father plays or the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as his idol, Benjamin is pleased with Jamie Vardy.
To be candid, Jamie Vardy is one of the best strikers in the Premier League considering his superb games for Leicester City in which he even won the golden boot award last season.
Aguero Jr is also a massive fan of PSG and France star Kylian Mbappe who has been in superb form this season for Paris Saint-Germain.
