The governor of Kwara, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Sunday, February 7, sounded a note of warning to persons who are fomenting trouble in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq referred to this set of APC members as dissidents who are plotting to halt the membership registration through lawsuits, The Nation reports.
The Kwara governor noted that such aggrieved members who are also bent on bringing down his government should retrace their steps or face expulsion in no time.

The APC governor claimed that those who are into this mission get their power and backing from Abuja.
He said:
“It has come to our notice that some people are hatching plots from Abuja to stop APC membership registration. They went to court to challenge the process when it has already begun. This was designed to frustrate the exercise, but we are unperturbed.
“However, we need to sound a note of warning that those fanning the ember of disaffection in our party risk suspension. The APC leadership will take decisive action on them tomorrow (today) so that our people can have rest of mind."
Meanwhile, five chieftains of the APC who sustained serious injuries during the recent violent attack at the stakeholders meeting of the Kwara state chapter have been hospitalised.
They were receiving medical attention at undisclosed hospitals in Ilorin, the state capital.
The victims received a sympathy visit from the state party's caretaker committee chairman, Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa.
Bolarinwa stated:
“I am happy that they were all upbeat and reacting to treatment.”
