Popular Nigerian singer Kechi Okwuchi recently left some of her fans and followers on social media feeling inspired after sharing her weight loss journey with them.
The super talented singer took to her official page on Instagram with photos showing what she now looks like after putting in a lot of work and embracing a healthy lifestyle.
Kechi disclosed that she had strong reservations about coming out to share her story but was only encouraged by her mother.
She went on to talk about how she thoroughly enjoyed eating way back in 2019 and was still happy about her body regardless.
"...the Kechi on the left was as happy and body confident as ever ☺but she also had the worst eating habits I’m talking 3 plates of pasta at 2am and wondering why she’d wake up so bloated no regrets though! Cause I won’t lie, I’ve had a lot of fun with food lmao I still do, y’all know."
Kechi said the weight loss journey was a really gradual one as she had never attempted it before or worked out with proper goals in mind.
She added that the weight loss process had always appeared unappealing but was encouraged by friends who said she didn’t have to give up her junk food entirely.
"But my friends told me I didn’t have to TOTALLY give up the junk I love (my biggest fear ), I just had to reduce how much I ate at a time and do the same for regular food. And get more active (ugh)."
The singer rounded up her post by noting that she is proud of her new body just like her friends and family are as well.
"I’m pretty proud of my progressmy friends and family are too. They’ve been super encouraging and patiently guiding me, and my mom is my biggest champion."
