I can never run for a political office, KWAM 1 says

Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has come out to declare he will never run for a political office.

Also known as Kwam 1, the musician revealed this during an event titled FUJI-Opera, held at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 17.

According to a report by PM News, the 63-year-old made the decision to steer clear of political office based on his hatred for “promise and fail” attitude.

The singer went on to explain that he doesn’t want to make hefty promises to gain votes only to fail the electorates due to unforeseen factors.

Meanwhile, the birthday of three special people in the life of the popular fuji musician falls on October 15. They are the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi; his mother, Alhaja Halimat - Shadia Abike Boluade; and his daughter, Baseerat Damilola Abike Marshal.

In a post which he shared on Instagram some months ago, he noted that every October 15 marks a great day in the diary of his life events.

Earlier this year, the singer trended online after a video of an incidence involving him at an event, surfaced online.

During his performance at socialite Ibrahim Dende's birthday party, he was captured on camera cautioning a photographer.

In the video, he is seen stopping midway through his performance to call someone onto the stage. A photographer, while trying to get a good picture, attempts to sit at the bottom of the stage but gets slapped on the head by the musician instead.
