Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has been named Premier League manager of the month for November.

The 57-year-old emerged winner of the prestigious award after guiding North Londoners to three wins and one draw in the month under review.

Spurs got the better of Brighton and Hove Albion in their first game of the month after beating them 2-1 in the former White Hart Lane Stadium.

Then proceeded to beat West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City 1-0 and 2-0 respectively but were forced to a stalemate by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge late in the month.

They also kept three clean sheets in four league games in the penultimate month of the year and Mourinho beats fellow nominees Frank Lampard, David Moyes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to win the prize.

He became the third Premier League manager of the month in the ongoing season after Carlo Ancelotti of Everton and Wolves Nuno Espirito Santo.

While reacting to the news, Mourinho praised his players for their victory over Manchester City and the way they achieved the result in the game. He told the Premier League website:

"That win against Manchester City and the way we did it, with a performance that we as a staff consider a very complete one. We were very good in every moment of the game.

This is the fourth time the Portugal-born tactician will be winning the award in his reign in the Premier League. He has also won three manager of the season glories and also three EPL titles
