Ishaku said the governors were saddened and traumatised by the horrifying massacre

He said:

“I will key into your request, which you said that the Federal Government should invite some mercenaries to come and help us out of this problem because what you cannot do, what you cannot solve, I think we should invite who can solve it for us.”

Meanwhile, Nigerians, in their reaction on social media blamed political leaders for the tragedy inflicted by the terrorists.

Ogheneruemu Erhirhevwe in his reaction said:

"The solution to Boko Haram is to know the sponsors arrest them and deal with them. Mercenaries cannot do anything when the sponsors and supporters of the insurgents are not fished out."

Chiedozie Nwonovo added:

"I think they still couldn't understand how the U.S flew into Nigeria, destroyed pockets of terrorists, rescued their citizen and left without recording any casualty while the army and presidency in Nigeria are still issuing "audio" footage of their fake combat missions with Channels tv on hand to help spread the propaganda. The truth is that we don't ve combatant army anymore. What we have is protest killing and election rigging armed forces."

Benjamin Ilo added:

"Why are the governors crying out when they were against SARS that called for a total change, not Buhari's change, of the failed system. The governors because of their low education and intelligence saw the EndSARS as a fight against Buhari instead of national defaults. The service chiefs have failed the nation with Buhari's backing."

Ibraheem S Muhammad concluded:

"After the deadly massacre of my brothers in Borno State, the best they (leaders) could do and say is "We condemn the killing of innocent Nigerians". Is not good enough. The same people who elected you in those offices you are in today are slain before you and by you. Please, what sin have they committed to deserve this dreaded punishment, Nigerian leaders? Subhanallah... what a horrible and fearful life we are in Borno state. O Allah! save us, protect our blood Ya Allah."
