American singer Ashanti knows the feeling perfectly well after clocking the magical 40, a feat she celebrated like the real celebrity she is.

The singer took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, October 13, and shared photos of herself enjoying her birthday in style.
In one of the photos, Ashanti is seen lying on catamaran net stretched out on a yacht rocking a two piece silver bikini.
In yet another one, she is seen seated on top of a yacht looking all lovely and curvy.
According to TMZ, the musician celebrated her birthday with a Caribbean vacation featuring beaches, boats, bikinis and lots of bikinis.
Legit.ng has learnt the singer painted Antigua area ''sexy'' as she celebrated her big day.
Judging by photos and videos seen on her Instagram stories, the lass had lots of fun characterised with sweet meals, gorgeous island views and dance parties.
Sources close to the star disclosed that Ashanti flew a couple of her friends and crew to Antigua in a private jet.
Being a celebrity, Ashanti rolled like one as she also engaged in riding jet skis and other fun water sports.
She was also spotted in decent formal wear as she stepped out for fancy dinners to celebrate her birthday that stretched for over three days.
To wrap up her fun filled birthday celebration, she took to Instagram and thanked her fans and the world for all the birthday love they sent her way.
"I cannot express how happy I am for this next chapter in life."
Ashanti's first big break was in 2002 when she was signed under Murder Inc.
She blew up the same years after getting featured on Fat Joe's Whats Love and Ja Rule's Always On Time.
It should be noted Ashanti is the first female artiste to take top two positions on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, with the aforementioned tracks which occupied number one and two respectively.
