The Rivers state governor also criticized the APC governors for allegedly abandoning Obaseki for fear of suffering a similar fate.
He described the reason for the disqualification of the sitting Governor as unfortunate.

"That's what Nigeria politics is all about, those that have certificate serves those that doesn't have. Corrupt government," Success Mark said.
Sir Ferdinand Rogers said: "Oshiomohle studied in Oxford College. he is more Educated than you, Obaseki and Atiku combined. You can't even stand in a debate, talkless of talk show."
In a similar development, Timi Frank has called on Governor Wike of Rivers state to prevail on PDP leaders to accept Governor Obaseki as their governorship candidate.
Frank who is a former chieftain of the APC said Obaseki remains the best option for the Peoples Democratic Party if it truly wants to take over Edo state.
Frank urged Wike to make those against Obaseki's defection to see reasons why the Edo governor should be given a chance.
He warned that the PDP may lose the forthcoming governorship election if it refuses to accept Obaseki as its candidate.
The former APC chieftain also advised Governor Obaseki to reach out to more PDP stakeholders to facilitate his acceptance by the opposition party.
