Tekno among top 5 most viewed Nigerians on YouTube, ranks ahead of Wizkid, Burna Boy

Talented Nigerian singer and producer, Augustine Miles Kelechi, was recently mentioned amongst the top 5 most viewed Nigerians on YouTube.

A Nigerian Twitter page identified as @Naija_Charts which is dedicated to music updates, shared a list of the top 5 most streamed (viewed) Nigerians of all time, on Monday, June 8.

According to the list, Davido came first with over 606 million views, Tekno came second with over 572 million views; Burna Boy came third with over 504 million views.

The rating was based on all-time accumulated number of audiovisual streams on the official YouTube channel of each celebrity listed.

Videos uploaded on the Record Label’s channel were not counted.

Reacting to the news, Tekno quoted the tweet and wrote: “I no even get album or EP…. wow! Who God bless no man can…”

Meanwhile, singers Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid have once again made their countrymen proud by showing how their music is significantly making waves beyond the shores of Africa.

Just recently, top American entertainment media brand, Billboard, made a compilation of the most streamed artists in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The list featured a host of top performing artists from different African countries, however, Nigerian music stars appeared to have clinched more spots on the list.

Burna Boy led the pack with a total of 435.57 million streams globally. Among the other Nigerians that were on the list, Davido held second place with 285.76 million streams and Wizkid was in third place with 176.23 million streams.

In other news, Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, achieved another great feat in his music career and he took to social media via his Instagram page to celebrate.

The singer made the number one spot on a Billboard music chart and he shared the good news on social media.
