Manuel Neuer to remain at Bayern Munich until 2023 after signing new deal

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has signed a new deal to remain at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2023.
The 34-year-old FIFA World Cup winner joined the Bavarians in 2011 in a deal valued around €30 million and has grown through the ranks at the club.
He has gone ahead to win seven Bundesliga titles, one Champions League among several other silverware. He could also win his eighth league title at the end of this season.

Neuer was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard wanted to sign him for Chelsea this summer.
The German star told Bundesliga website after signing the contract extension: "During the weeks of the shutdown for the coronavirus pandemic, I didn't want to make a decision because nobody knew if, when and how Bundesliga football would continue,”
“It was important for me to continue working with our goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic. Now this has been resolved, I look to the future with great optimism.
"I feel very comfortable and at home in Bavaria. FC Bayern are one of Europe’s top football clubs.”
“FC Bayern are very happy Manuel has extended his contract until 30 June 2023. He is the best goalkeeper in the world and our captain," said CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Bayern manager Hansi Flick has confirmed Neuer will remain his number one choice despite signing Alexander Nubel on a free transfer from Schalke.

The 34-year-old’s marriage with wife Nina crashed about four months ago, but it is now believed that the German goalkeeper has moved on with his newfound love.
Anika blonde studies fashion management in Munich, and also plays for a handball team named the Kuties and it was gathered that she bears the resemblance of Nina.
