One such celebrity is popular Nigerian singer 2baba Idibia. The singer recently donated the sum of N10m to support initiatives aimed at combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, it appears the singer’s action is not well received by some Nigerians. Legit TV recently had a chat with a Nigerian man who faulted 2baba for his donation.

According to the individual, the singer should have partnered with food agencies or banks in the country, if he really wanted the funds to be accessible by vulnerable Nigerians.

The man noted that since the Iheneme crooner made the donation, nothing has been heard of how it was spent.

He went on to charge other celebrities in the country not to follow the steps of 2baba. According to him, if they feel the need to aid the present situation, they should seek means of partnering with agencies that can effectively distribute funds to people who are in dire need.
