- Veteran Nollywood actor, Sadiq Daba, is in a bad shape as a result of his health
- The actor is reportedly on the verge of losing one of his eyes as his health worsens
- A Nigerian journalist, Olutade Simon, took to social media via his Twitter page to notify the government of the state of the veteran actor
The Nigerian entertainment industry has lost its fair share of worthy talents due to ill health and lack of funds to adequately treat them.
Sometimes, the celebrities who end up in such conditions are veterans in the industry who have become old and abandoned as they are no longer in the spotlight and cannot afford expensive healthcare.
Despite that, some veterans in the entertainment industry have been lucky to get adequate help after well-meaning Nigerians rally round and support them financially for them to get proper treatment.
Legit.ng has gathered the report of veteran Nollywood actor, Sadiq Daba, who is reportedly in a very bad shape as a result of his worsening health.
The actor is said to be on the verge of losing one of his eyes if something is not done for him as soon as possible.
The report was shared on social media by a journalist named Olutade Simon on Twitter. Simon begged the government to try to do something about Daba’s case while acknowledging that the COVID-19 might have taken up a lot of their attention.
The journalist tagged the Lagos and Ogun state governors as well as the vice president of the country to his post.
He wrote: “Sadiq Daba is still sick. Yesterday he reached out he was still ill and on the verge of losing one of his eyes.
"It is a tough time as the government is battling Covid-19. But I will blame myself if I don’t do this and something happens to him.”

Sadiq Daba is well known for his role in Kunle Afolayan movie, October 1, where he played the character of Inspector Waziri. The actor won the award for Best Actor for the role in 2015.
Daba was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017 and he was also down with leukaemia some months later.
This is so sad. Hopefully, he gets the best healthcare he deserves.
