Tiamiyu Kazeem, former Remo Stars player, killed by SARS buried in Sagamu

Former Remo Stars player Tiamiyu Kazeem who was killed by some members of the Anti Robbery Squad known as SARS has been buried in his family house in Ajaka, Sagamu, Ogun state.

His former club Remo Stars took to social media to disseminate his interment activities which involved a candle night service held also in Sagamu.

Nigerian football lovers are still in shock following the death of the promising player who was killed when he was on the verge of moving his football career abroad.

He got himself into the hands of the SARS officers in Sagamu while going out with a teammate in which they were both questioned.

Those police officers who stopped Tiamiyu Kazeem and his friend attacked them verbally that they were internet fraudsters considering the way they dressed.

But Tiamiyu Kazeem and his friend identified themselves as footballers, but their claims met the deaf ears of the SARS officers who insisted in taking them to the station.

Unfortunately, one of the policemen pushed Tiamiyu Kazeem down from the vehicle out of anger and another motor coming from the back crushed him immediately.

Tributes have been pouring for the player since his tragic demise with Ogun state Governor Dapo Abiodun promising that justice will be done on the death of Tiamiyu Kazeem.

The culprit is said to have been identified and according to the latest report coming in, he has also been dismissed from work.

On Wednesday, Amaju Pinnick who is the president of the Nigeria Football Federation also visited the family members of late Tiamiyu Kazeem.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state paid a condolence visit to the family of late Remo Stars player Tiamiyu Kazeem who lost his life in the hands of the SARS operative.

While speaking with all the family members of the late footballer, Governor Dapo Abiodun reiterated his promise to make sure that those involved in the untimely death of Tiamiyu get proper prosecution.

He also promised that the Ogun state Government will do all their best to make sure that the family of Tiamiyu is not abandoned after his demise.
