She explained that she only wanted a setup sufficient for a single room, but the price she was given left her in disbelief.

Lady speaks about price of solar

The user, posting under the handle @miraj369 on X, narrated how she had made an inquiry about the cost of installing solar equipment for her household needs.

According to her, she had expected the price to be manageable, given that the system was only meant to support one air conditioner and a fridge.

However, when the contractors returned with their estimate, the amount was far higher than she had anticipated.

She stated that the total quoted for the installation had approached N3 million, a sum she described as beyond her reach for a single room.

The lady added that even raising N300,000 would have been difficult, let alone the much larger figure she had been told.

She questioned whether such a price was reasonable, expressing disbelief at how costly solar had become.

In her words:

"Omo solar is now expensive o. Solar to carry just 1 ac and fridge is totalling to almost 3m?? For just a room o. Where I wan see 300k not to talk of 3m but do you think it’s outrageous?"
