Information reaching Legit.ng indicates that Governor Seriake Dickson is being accused by the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to loot the properties of the state.
Yekini Nabena, the deputy national publicity secretary of the party in a statement issued in Abuja, accused the outgoing governor.
In a report by The New Telegraph, Nabena said Dickson alongside, his cohorts, and family members had made plans to loot government properties before the handover on February 14.
He went on to allege that Dickson also made possible plans to leave the country before handing over.
Nabena referred to a recent statement by the media aide to the deputy governor of the state that some government properties had already been stolen to back up his allegations.
Legit.ng previously reported that Bayelsa state deputy governor Gboribiogha Jonah said that there was no authorization from his office on the looting of property from his guest house in Yenagoa.
Jonah in reaction to reports of the looting said items that were taken from the guest house include one generator, furniture, air conditioners, and electronic equipment.
The retired naval rear admiral noted that said the criminal act was carried out by some yet-to-be-identified persons.
