Former president Barrack Obama is vacationing in his home state of Hawaii, and was photographed paddleboarding in the Pacific Ocean.

Obama wore black swimming trunks, paddling himself around while wearing an $84 (N30,000) shark deterrent band around his ankle, Daily Mail UK reports.

Legit.ng gathers that the 58-year-old former president, who was photographed around noon on Tuesday, January 2, stumbled and fell off the board a few times.

While Obama was having fun paddleboarding in the Pacific Ocean, a Secret Service agent in a bulletproof vest moved close behind him in a kayak.

The former president wore the shark deterrent band, which was developed by marine biologists to deter predatory shark species.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the United States former president, Barack Obama, said there could be a great improvement in standards of living if women head countries around the world.
