Budget 2020: Aso Rock to spend N18.5million on food, over N45million on fuel

A breakdown of the 2020 budget has shown that Nigeria's seat of power, Aso Rock, will spend N45,678,552 on fueling the generating sets in the Presidential Villa.

The document seen by Nigerian Tribune also showed that chefs in the Villa will in 2020 prepare food for the first family and their guests with cooking gas worth N18.5 million.

Refreshment and meals will cost N135,668,651, while welfare packages will cost N240,730,180.

N91.6 million has also been budgeted to purchase bullet-proof tyres for the vehicles in the presidential fleet.

Also, N4.451 billion will be used to repair State House buildings in 2020.

Rehabilitation and repair of residential buildings will cost N69,693,262, while rehabilitation and repairs of housing will take N10,575,702.

Meanwhile, Buhari has said the Nigerian economy has recorded nine consecutive quarters of Gross Dometic Product growth so far.

The president said this while presenting Nigeria's 2020 budget to the National Assembly.
