Bukar China: Nigerian Army arrest Boko Haram top driver, 9 others

- A wanted member of the Boko Haram terrorist group in Borno, Abdullahi Bukar Modu, has been arrested

Troops of the Nigerian Army has arrested a wanted and notorious member of the Boko Haram terrorists group.

The terrorist, Bukar China, whose real name is Abdullahi Bukar Modu, was arrested on Wednesday, October 9, by gallant troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno state.

Confirming this, a statement from the Nigerian Army read: “Gallant troops of the Nigerian Army working in conjunction with members of Civilian Joint Task Force on clearance operations on 9 October, 2019 arrested 10 members of BHT in Pulka Borno state.

“One of the arrested terrorists, Alhaji Bukar Modu alias Modu China (chief driver) was declared wanted on Serial 89 of NA wanted list.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Army on Wednesday revealed that some members of the terrorist group surrendered to troops after the military chased them out of their hideouts in Borno.

According to operations media coordinator of the Army, Colonel Aminu Iliyasu, the names of the surrendered insurgents are Ramat Mohammed, Alhaji Brazil, Bukar Gambo, Waziri Bukar and Bashuna Musa.
