Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to his South African colleague, Cyril Ramaphosa, to ensure the safety of all Nigerians living in South Africa.
Speaking on Thursday, October 3, while he visited South Africa where he met with Ramaphosa, President Buhari Nigerians and other foreign nationals in the country must be well protected.
Further condemning the series of recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa's city, Johannesburg, the president said all measures must be put in place to ensure this.
In his response, the South African president apologising to President Buhari over the attacks directed at Nigerians and other foreign nationals in South Africa said, he regrets the acts of public violence.

He also said that he firmly condemns all forms of intolerance and would do all within his powers as a president to ensure it never recurs.
