Nigerians will have uninterrupted electricity in not-too-distant future - Buhari declares

“I call on all well-meaning Nigerians to queue behind President Buhari as he leads us to build a stronger bigger and greater Nigeria,” the vice president was quoted as saying.

Osinbajo's message comes amidst the viral speculations the presidency is sidelining him.

Legit.ng notes that the speculations were fueled by recent decisions by President Buhari to retrieve some duties from Osinbajo.

For instance, following a report that President Buhari directed Osinbajo to seek approval from him before making decisions for agencies under his supervision, Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural group, said the Office of the Vice President has been rendered useless, impotent and irrelevant.

Also reacting, an elder statesman and leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, warned that any treatment that would be meted out to the vice president must be in accordance with the constitution.

He said that although the issue was “APC problem,” the vice president must not be ridiculed in the process.
