Again, Nigerian Army begin exercises Ayem Akpatuma II, Egwu Eke IV, Crocodile Smile IV

- To curb the rate of kidnapping and other criminal activities, the Nigerian Army has launched various operations across regions in Nigeria

- The operation launched by the Army are exercises Ayem Akpatuma II, Egwu Eke IV, Crocodile Smile IV

- The Army spokesperson also said that the Operation Positive Identification taking place in the northeast would soon be extended across the nation

The Nigerian Army on Wednesday, September 25, said it has launched exercises Ayem Akpatuma II, Egwu Eke IV and Crocodile Smile IV.

The Nigerian Army spokesperson, Colonel Musa Sagir, said the Army is set to commence simultaneous routine training exercises in the various geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Musa said operation Ayem Akpatuma II will take place in the north central and some states of the northwest - Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi and Taraba states.

A statement by Musa said the Exercise Egwu Eke will be carried out in southeast states of the country including Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states in 82 Division AOR.

Also, the Crocodile Smile IV will take place in south south and parts of southwestern states - Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Lagos, Ogun and Rivers states in 2, 6, 81 and 82 Divisions’ AOR.

Musa further notified the public that the Operation Positive Identification taking place in the northeast would soon be extended across the nation to check out for bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers, ethnic militia, cattle rustlers.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Army had announced the commencement of Operation Positive Identification in the northeast region of Nigeria.

The operation, the Nigerian Army said will identify criminal and residents of the region who perpetrate crimes in the northeast.
