Fasting, prayer and justice are what Nigeria needs at this time - Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, May 8, said Nigeria needed three things to help it meet its current challenges.

Atiku listed the three as fasting, prayer and justice just as he quoted a verse of the Quran concerning fasting by believers in Islam.

Legit.ng earlier reported how the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar joined Nigerians to remember late former President Musa Yar’Adua nine years after he died while still in office.

Yar'Adua died on Wednesday, May 5 2010, at age of 58 after a protracted battle with acute pericarditis, Nigerians celebrated the life and times of Yar’adua on various social media platforms.

Among those who commemorated the late ex-president was Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate in the last 2019 general elections.

Atiku said he was proud that Yar’Aadua was produced by his political family, the PDP, as he said he is closely connected to the former president.

He said the late president was someone he was closely connected to, first as his late brother, Shehu Musa Yar’adua was his political mentor.
